Summary…

The business intention of the client’s use of RFID in this application is to maximize production time and minimize down time.  While it’s essentially cost prohibitive for the client to eliminate certain traumatic events (such as power outages), the client took reasonable measures to plan for them and minimize their effect on operations.  In short, thanks to RFID, when a problem occurs, the system can essentially “heal” itself and return to normal operation in short order.

Simultaneously, the client also looked to Systems Interface to engineer and deliver into the same system the means to maximize desired production throughput.  Respecting the value of a non-proprietary solution, Systems Interface implemented our powerful yet open Manufacturing Execution System technology to deliver just what was needed.  Moreover, this marked improvement also took full advantage of the client’s installed infrastructure, thus ensuring best possible system cost.

Finally, by delivering engineering, fabricating, installing, and testing the new and improved architecture, Systems Interface successfully met or exceeded the client’s overall expectations for the new production process control system.
